Cleaning | Comprehensive Exam | Flouride Treatment | Oral Cancer Screening
The American Dental Association recommends you see your dentist every six months. Preventive dental care can help you reduce or avoid future costs by preventing and finding potential issues sooner. Because many diseases and conditions first show signs in your mouth, good dental health and a strong relationship with your dental office are important steps in your overall health
The doctor will review all findings and discuss possible treatment options to help you achieve the smile you deserve.
Fluoride can be an important part of preventing tooth decay in patients of all ages. During your visit, we will determine your risk for dental decay by discussing your diet, home care, previous decay history, illnesses and prescription medications. Fluoride treatment can be done in the office, or at home.
In the office: Treatment can be done during your regular exam using a tray with gel or foam fluoride. A more highly concentrated fluoride varnish that is brushed onto your teeth can also be used.
At home: Options for fluoride treatment include prescription toothpastes or a daily rinse. It is important to follow all recommendations made by your dentist and to also be aware of the fluoride levels in your water.
Oral cancer can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated early. Village Smiles provides oral cancer screenings as part of your regular dental exam. There are two main risk factors for oral cancer. Smoking and tobacco use are long-term historic causes of oral cancer. In addition, the HPV-16 virus, a sexually-transmitted disease, is resulting in the fastest-growing segment of oral cancer patients being young, healthy, nonsmoking individuals.
When found early, oral cancers have an 80 to 90 percent survival rate. Dentists can be a first line of defense in identifying abnormalities in the mouth, which could be a sign of oral cancer.

Everyone was very nice, I felt that I got a thorough examination. I would recommend Village Smiles.
I can’t say enough good things about this practice! It was as close to perfect as possible. Everyone was kind, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. It was my first visit and the exam was very thorough. They found that some of the dental work that was decades old needed repair and showed me exactly what was wrong and explained beautifully what needed to be done. They had an opening the next day. I look forward to a long relationship with this practice.
I had a cleaning and dental exam. Erica is the best hygienist- extremely professional, thorough, and friendly. She explains everything and ensures you are ready and comfortable. Her skills are excellent and I highly recommend her.
I was greeted at the door immediately and confirmation of my appointment with Erika was given. Very short wait, Erika was very pleasant and knowledgeable . She performed a proficient and thorough exam and explained the results to me and answered all my questions. I am never disappointed with any of the staff at this location. Dr. Abrams is a conscientious doctor that works hard to make sure the work is done well. He manages his office keeping patient comfort in mind and also communicates well with his staff. I have been a patient of his for over 2 years with no regrets. Highest recommendation. Update: Dr.Abrems no longer serving at this location.Seemed an abrupt change ( He never whispered a word), they said he moved on to new interests...can't speculate but I don't know the new doc...we moved.
My experience from booking an appointment over the phone to actually coming to the office for my appointment was AMAZING! The staff are all so genuine and caring... The doctor was also so genuine! Great experience, I would definitely recommend this facility for your next dental exam!
